Our Story

Amigo Houston Movers name is based on really making a friend through your moving process. Amigo stands for Friend and that is what we strive for, not just to see our customers as a customer but make a friend. My brother and I started very young working for big moving companies, every time we finished a move we ended up with solid customer relationships. We decided to start our family business in what we know how to do, we love to help our Amigos with making their moving experience stress-free. We hope to gain you as an Amigo and add to our growing list of satisfied customers! Our moving teams that work with us are family oriented and have more than 12 years of experience. No job is too big or too small for our experienced movers.

What does your hourly rate include?
  • Loading & unloading
  • Basic disassembly & reassembly of larger, common, furniture items; excluding cribs or any other child safety related items, electronics, or hanging items on walls.
    Protective moving materials; blankets, dollies.
  • Wardrobe boxes are available upon requests (18” linear clother per box, ie 3’ closet 2 boxes)
Is there an additional fee for oversized items?

While you’re on the topic of additional fees, notify us about any oversized items you anticipate bringing with you. Oversized items include pool tables, pianos, and safes. These items are worth mentioning and may be subject to additional charges.

When should I book the movers?

Movers should be scheduled at least 2-3 weeks before your move-in date.

Do you offer packing services?

Yes, we do! Packing services include packing, unpacking, crating, or appliance disconnection. These charges are added to your baseline moving costs. When scheduling please let us know and we can quote you accordingly, and remember we can also provide on-site estimates for packing.

Do I need to unpack my dresser and nightstand?

Yes, please have all drawers empty out.
